Here are some samples of music that are popular at weddings. I've included both classical and Celtic music. This list is by no means extensive, but merely a starting point. If you are looking for a particular piece, please ask me, and if I'm able to play it, I will happily perform it at your ceremony.

Traditionally, a wedding has the following components:

  • Prelude

  • Processional for bridal party

  • Bridal Processional

  • Signing of the Register

  • Recessional

On your wedding day, it is recommended that you have music beginning 15-20 minutes prior to the ceremony itself, as guests get seated. This is known as the 'prelude.'

After that comes the 'processional for the bridal party' (bridesmaids, ring bearer, and flower girl). Once all of the wedding party is in position, the Bride has her own 'bridal processional' as she walks down the aisle.

During the ceremony there is usually a 'signing of the register,' at which time music can be played.

And finally, once the ceremony is over, the 'recessional' is the music during which the newly weds walk back down the aisle together.

I can give recommendations for which pieces work best at different points in the ceremony, or you can choose for yourself. Either way, I will do everything I can to accommodate, making your wedding day as perfect as possible.
